The official PhotoCraft repository is github.com/storytold/photocraft. It is the primary source for code, release files, feature notes, project status, and bug reports. GitHub numbers such as stars, forks, and contributor totals change continuously, so this page avoids freezing them into copy that can become misleading within a day.

The v0.6.0 release notes include fixes across selections, masks, PSD import/export, text, gradients, and other areas. Treat release notes as evidence of what changed in that version; they are not a promise that every workflow is complete. The project’s own README says PhotoCraft is early alpha and not yet a replacement for daily professional work.

How to read a GitHub release

Open the release tag, scan the change list, and then expand or inspect the assets. Match the package name to your OS and architecture; the same version may have multiple formats. If the release publishes SHA256SUMS.txt, compare the downloaded asset against it before installation when integrity checks are part of your workflow. The download guide explains the current asset names.

How to file a useful issue

Search existing issues first. If the bug is new, state the PhotoCraft version, operating system, exact steps, expected behavior, and actual behavior. Include a minimal test file only if you can share it safely; strip private metadata or use a public sample when possible. This makes reports more actionable while keeping sensitive source images private.

For context before exploring the repo, read what PhotoCraft is and the review. The repository and releases can move at any time; always check their live pages before acting.
